From his career at a renowned construction firm to launching his own venture, Luo Gang has built extensive expertise in building correction, structural retrofitting, and ancient architecture preservation. Industry Challenges In 2015, riding the wave of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation," Luo Gang founded Hunan Zhongchuang Special Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., bringing the "hospital in a building" concept to life. He likened buildings to "patients" and proposed an integrated service model: "inspection and evaluation—reinforcement design—construction implementation." A professional team first conducts a "health check" using advanced equipment to pinpoint issues, then designs a "treatment plan" based on the building's functional needs, and finally completes the "treatment" with rigorous craftsmanship, achieving a closed-loop process from "diagnosis" to "recovery."

The advantages of this model have been demonstrated in practice: In a structural correction project for an old building, the team identified the root cause of uneven foundation settlement through detailed inspections. By employing the "miniature steel pipe piles + static pressure anchor piles" technique, they precisely realigned the tilted structure, eliminating safety hazards. During the renovation of a large commercial complex, they innovatively adopted the "carbon fiber cloth reinforcement + steel bar replacement" method, which not only met the requirements of new commercial layouts but also enhanced structural safety. In preserving a century-old architectural heritage site, the team adhered to the "minimal intervention" principle, using concealed reinforcement techniques to preserve the original appearance, breathing new life into the cultural relic. Over the past decade, Luo Gang has led his team to complete over 500 complex projects, spanning areas such as building correction, fire resistance reinforcement, and cultural heritage protection. 2025年2月，他代表企业参编中国工程建设标准化协会《建筑体检与评价通则》《建筑体检与评价 室内环境》《建筑体检与评价 外围护》三项团体标准。“标准是行业的‘度量衡’。”他结合项目案例，提出“建筑全生命周期风险评估指标”“检测数据动态更新机制”等建议，推动行业从“经验判断”向“科学规范”转型。
In February 2025, he represented enterprises in compiling three group standards of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association: "General Rules for Building Inspection and Evaluation", "Building Inspection and Evaluation-Indoor Environment", and "Building Inspection and Evaluation-Perimeter Protection". "Standards are the 'yardstick' of the industry," he said, combining project cases to propose suggestions such as "risk assessment indicators for the entire life cycle of buildings" and "dynamic update mechanism for inspection data", promoting the industry's transition from "empirical judgment" to "scientific standardization".
